Thoughts on a Sardinian Sunrise

The beginnings and the ends of the day are always my favourites. Sunrise and sunset are like my muse.  These times of day are, to me, about entering the liminal space.  Liminal comes from the Latin and means threshold and to me it always holds a sense of possibility and an equally sweet sense of yearning. It is the space between the in breath and the out breath. It’s a double waypoint in my day. For the day that has gone or the sweet sleep that is now over. When I am on land and busy in my life I miss that pause, that meditation, I take at sunrise and sunset.

About Me

I’m Cath. I write most of the blogs unless I can get Rick to join in. I write to share about our sailing life with as much authenticity and honesty as I can. This means more than just the perfect moments. It’s a way to reflect and to remember the unfolding days, the terrifying moments and the things that bring us a sense of awe. I hope you come along for the journey.
